Competitors are responsible for providing their own scanner if the dog is microchipped only. We do have a universal scanner available but cannot guarantee it will read unusual types of microchips.
The tracking surface is alfalfa with grass underneath. As of last Saturday, the alfalfa was 9 inches high and the grass underneath was 6 inches and dense.
